Description
Planning is the core view where users create, configure, and manage trade promotions. Not only that, it is the most complex of all the sections. Main management of promotion planning happens in this page since the rest of the sections are filtered lists of promotions according to their status. There’s a lot of sections that will be outlined and defined in this section. For starters, Planning subsection has different view, each with different a functionality:
Views
- Columns: Default landing view that organizes promotions into vertical columns based on their status (Pending, Submitted, Approved, Running, Completed), enabling visual workflow management and drag-and-drop status changes.
- List: Displays all promotions in a spreadsheet-style row format with key details (Name, Customer, Month, Status, Last Modified, Total Expected Spend), appealing to users who prefer Excel-like layouts.
- Submission: Bulk action interface that allows users to submit multiple promotions simultaneously from Pending to Submitted status, initiating the approval workflow for many promotions at once.
- Approval: Bulk action interface that enables approvers to review and approve (or decline) multiple submitted promotions simultaneously, streamlining the approval process for high-volume promotion planning.
- Advanced Duplication: Powerful bulk copying interface that allows users to duplicate existing promotions to new time periods or customers, significantly accelerating promotion planning for recurring promotional programs.
- Open/Close Lines: Bulk editing interface that allows users to modify multiple promotions simultaneously, enabling efficient updates to promotion details across many promotions at once rather than editing one-by-one.
- Calendar: Visual promotional calendar interface that displays promotions by month or year with color-coded status indicators, filterable by customer/product/promotion type, and exportable as PDF/PNG.
